I absolutely loved this race this year and managed to get a 23 minute pb!!! Amazing support from all the volunteers and supporters on route. Absolutely loved the music, great idea and seemed to make the laps go by faster. This was a fantastic race as part of my first marathon training and I can only hope the marathon itself is as enjoyable! Massive thanks and well done to Graham and team for all the hard work and support.

I absolutely loved this event. It was so well organised and although I was bothered about how repetitive the 20 laps would be it actually helped me pace the race well and check my timings throughout. This year I am running my first marathon so I found it really helpful to gauge where I am with my training and practice taking my gels etc. The weather couldn't have been better. Most of all the volunteers really do deserve a big thank you, as they gave me a massive dose of positivity throughout the race. Great to be able check my lap splits after the event and work on things to change in the coming weeks. Thanks to all who helped organise this. I would definitely recommend it = )

I have to say firstly that it was one of the best races that I've ever done and I thoroughly enjoyed every lap! It was superbly organised, marshalled, supported and promoted. Just a few things off the top of my head which made this race so memorable were: Emails of details about the race before hand made it so much easier to know what was happening, course details and parking. Why don't all race organisers do this? Fair and bountiful age graded prizes! Cheerful and on task marshals who weren't playing on their phones. Lots of them giving personal encouragement throughout the race. The marshal at the top corner of the park (about 0.25 miles into the course at the 90 degree right turns) was great! Dave Aspin shouting out the splits and average laps. Karen Newton taking photos! Good placement of refreshments Kit storage and clean loos! Runners being lapped cheering everyone on, staying on the left hand side! Interesting course with those bridges keeping things undulating! Thanks for the race and I'll certainly be back next year! What a great way to prepare for a marathon! Why travel all the way to Hull or Lancaster to do 20 miles!!!???

Well organised, great support. As a front runner, had no issues with lapping people. Everyone was great.
